Enterprise Saskatchewan (ES) is a bold and innovative approach to creating sustainable economic growth in Saskatchewan. Enterprise Saskatchewan offers a broad range of programs and services designed to assist businesses in the development of Saskatchewan’s bioeconomy. Some of these include:

  • Canada-Saskatchewan Western Economic Partnership Agreement (WEPA) - Designed to help build the province's capacity for economic growth through innovation.
  • Business and Industry Databases - The agency maintains a number of online databases to assist you in locating a variety of Saskatchewan businesses and services.
  • BizPaL - Business Permits and Licences - An online service that provides Canadian businesses with one-stop access to permit and licence information for all levels of government.

Enterprise Saskatchewan is responsible for fostering and facilitating the value-added potential for key economic sectors in the province. ES has identified the following economic sectors as key to the province’s growth with respect to the bio-economy:
  • Alternative Energies & Environmental Industries - Saskatchewan is working to develop alternative energy to further diversify our energy base while protecting the environment.
  • Biofuels, Bio-Products & Bio-Processing - Saskatchewan offers extensive research and technological support ��" and the country's largest renewable bioproduct resources.
  • Forestry - More than half of Saskatchewan is forested -- about 355,000 square kilometres -- creating an innovative industry experiencing excellent growth.
  • Life Sciences & Biotechnology - Saskatchewan is a hub of activity in biotechnology and life sciences. There is a strong tradition of innovation and multidisciplinary capabilities at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina.
